A chair designed to complement an architect’s vision; the Barcelona chair is available in Tan, Black, Sand, Chocolate Brown or Ivory leather. The solid one piece stainless heavy grade steel frame supports a premium grade leather upholstered seat, supported by leather straps. Available with the accompanying footstool and as a two or three seater sofa. The Barcelona range meets all UK Fire regulations for contracts use, and FR Certificates are available on request. Originally designed by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe for the 1929 International Exhibition. The Barcelona lounge chair has a deliberately opulent design visually inspired by a magistrates stool. Special colours are available upon request. This is a high quality reproduction piece of furniture.

Created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the German Pavilion at the 1929 Barcelona Exposition, the Barcelona chair features the pure compositional structure that now epitomizes Modern architecture. From the hand-buffed stainless steel or chromed frame to the individual leather squares carefully welted together, each Barcelona chair is a tribute to traditional craftmanship and meticulous attention to detail.

Seat and back cushions adapt to fit the curve of the frame. Frame is welded in a single-piece construction from a single stainless steel block for ultimate durability. The stainless steel is hand-buffed.
